“sing at the ming with sandi and dutchy”

We are the Karaoke Kool Kats. Welcome!

You can find us hosting karaoke at the Ming Pavilion Chinese Restaurant EVERY FRIDAY AND SATURDAY night.

The venue is located conveniently opposite Mooroolbark Railway Station, at 42 Brice Ave, Mooroolbark, 3138, an eastern suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

Bookings are advisable, on (03) 9727 0688.

BYO wine only, for a small corkage charge. A variety of beer, wine and cocktails are available for purchase.

Our personal favourite is the shredded duo fillet (chicken and beef) in honey pepper sauce, which we have with vegies and cashews  and steamed rice.

We’d love to see you there sometime soon!

Ready to host our first night August 2010.

Happy Kool Kats

  1. Hi thinking of booking for about 10-15 on Sat the 29th of sept for my 30th. Just wondering if you have room that night and if there is any special deals i’m might like to know about? would it be a set meal? and what time do you close?
    Thanks for your time Lisa

    • Hi Lisa. We don’t actually take the bookings. We run the karaoke for the restaurant. At this stage it looks like the owners may cancel us for that night because it’s Grand Final night. May I suggest you book for the Friday? There are various banquets you can choose from. For the karaoke, we hand out the books at 7:30 p.m. and the singing goes from 8:00 – 11:30. Call the restaurant directly on 9727 0688. We look forward to meeting you.

      • Thank you very much for getting back to me so quick, I rang and they said if they get some bookings for the night other than my booking for 10-15 people they will go ahaead with the karaoke. they said they would like the numbers over 20. so fingers crossed… cos ive heard its a great night.

  2. Hi, how do I find I list of all the songs you have so I can pre choose? I remember your library to be quiet big.
    Cheers Sharon.

    • We have over 8000 songs, but they are only in our books at the Ming. We hand out the books at 7:30, and start singing at 8:00, so you have half an hour to peruse the lists.

Perhaps you could bring pen and paper and jot down songs and songcodes for future reference? If you’re looking for any particular song and artist, you can ask me on this blog in advance. Looking forward to seeing you at the Ming one Saturday night. Cheers.
